Had no idea who he was until I came across this card in the early 80s. I was relieved to know he could hit because I sure as heck couldn't.Billhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/00532491400976491069noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5129825817358907805.post-52073876550985379232010-05-10T11:58:36.593-04:002010-05-10T11:58:36.593-04:00Thanks '77

The best I ever did was win the 1985 set with 5 of those redeemable inserts that you had to collect.Dean Familyhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/09835797943104870803noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5129825817358907805.post-30032956152160327872010-05-08T23:02:19.977-04:002010-05-08T23:02:19.977-04:00Last card I needed to complete the set. And Garr was a favorite from a few years prior, so it was quite annoying that he was the last one.night owlhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/11673973790245316059noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-5129825817358907805.post-91287694184182128792010-05-08T20:56:12.177-04:002010-05-08T20:56:12.177-04:00I loved this card; I still do. 1980 was the year ...I loved this card; I still do. 1980 was the year it all became real for me as far as baseball cards were concerned. I bought so many of the damned things that I won a bat AND a ball from the scratch of "hit to win" inserts. I'm so happy people are doing this sort of thing, because I don't have the time to drag out my cards very often. This is almost as good...nah, just as good with the text. I also like how you have the card back.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
